‘POSITIVE’ VIBE TO TALKS OVER ALL-ISLAND LEAGUE

-

ALL-ISLAND LEAGUE talks between the FAI and IFA have been “really positive”.

But the FAI has stressed the need for a cautious approach while both sides debate Kieran Lucid’s ambitious plans.

FAI chief executive Gary Owens confirmed the two associations have a “steering group” to discuss proposals.

“We have to make sure we take what the IFA think into account and not just run away with ourselves,” added deputy FAI boss Niall Quinn (above).

“But we’ve met regularly and discussed a potential cross-border competition and it’s going in the right way.”
