GARETH BALE has been axed from Real Madrid’s squad to face Manchester City in the Champions League tomorrow.

Wales star Bale was not included in Zinedine Zidane’s

24-man squad bound for Manchester, throwing his Real future into fresh doubt.

Bale has been out of favour with Zidane (left) for some time and was largely overlooked as Real reeled off 10 straight wins to seal La Liga.

But Bale, 31, made just two appearances for Real after the restart, confirming his exiled status. Fully fit and able to play, Zidane’s decision to leave Bale in Madrid could finally signal the forward’s departure this summer.
