STEVEN GERRARD says Rangers are ready to come out firing after solving their issues in attack – but won’t be able to call upon either of his new hitmen tonight.

It is only two weeks since Gerrard went public with fears his team did not have enough strength in depth.

But the Light Blues board acted swiftly and sanctioned purchases of Kemar Roofe and Cedric Itten for a combined sum of £8.5million.

Gerrard (above) said: “I made it well known that we were quite vulnerable with the options we had prior to getting the two new lads in.

“But now we’ve got a lot of options in the forward areas, we’ve got a lot of firepower and I’m really excited about working with them.”

Alfredo Morelos leads the line in a bid to overturn the 3-1 first-leg loss.
