AKE MAKES CITY MOVE FOR £40M

MANCHESTER CITY last night confirmed the £40million signing of Nathan Ake from Bournemouth.

Defender Ake (above), 25, has signed a five-year deal and becomes City’s second summer signing after they landed winger Ferran Torres from Valencia for an initial £21m.

Ake said: “City have been the best side in England over the last decade. Coming here is a dream for me.

“I know I’m going to have to work hard to get into the side, but that’s what I’m here to do.”
