Man admits firing shot

A MAN on trial for murdering a politician in Germany has told the court he fired the fatal shot.

Stephen Ernst is accused of murdering Walter Lubcke, 65, in 2019.

Lubcke had been known for supporting Germany’s intake of refugees in 2015.

He was shot in the head in his garden.
