Hay fever & asthma woe survey finds

-

AROUND 70% of people who have asthma and hay fever needed to increase their asthma medication when the pollen count was high, a study revealed.

The Asthma Society of Ireland released its hay fever survey after they quizzed 524 people in June.

Chief Sarah O’connor, said: “For the four out of five people who have both hay fever and asthma, hay fever can be an extremely debilitating condition.

“Many people still have the perception hay fever is not a serious condition, but our survey identified many people with asthma and hay fever experience a very poor quality of life during pollen season.”
