€265k Lotto winner Cavan a great time

LOTTO bosses revealed that Tuesday night’s winning Euromillions ticket was sold in Cavan.

A lucky player scooped €265,150 when they matched five numbers and one Lucky Star.

They came agonisingly close to winning the €49,112,673 jackpot but missed out by one number.

The golden ticket was sold at an Applegreen service station on the Dublin Road in Kingscourt.

Shop manager Bhupendre Choudhary said: “The whole town will be buzzing this morning and no doubt we’ll have a lot of people in to check their tickets.”
