CONOR Mcgregor has admitted he “can’t go on” after he was arrested for allegedly exposing himself to a woman in a bar.

The former UFC world champion was questioned by police in France last Friday following the alleged incident during a heavy drinking session.

He was released without charge but could be re-arrested after the results of further tests are made available.

Mcgregor, who has been training in the region for a 180km water voyage, took to Twitter in response to a user who had alerted him to a

BBC story which called him

“English”.

The user said:

“They can have him.

The BBC is correct, (Conor

Mcgregor) is

English.”

Dubliner Mcgregor said: “(You work in) suicide intervention yet (you are) ridiculing me in this manner online, at this horrendous time in my life.

“I am trying to stay strong for my kids and the people that rely on me and that love and support me. Thanks for the insults, hypocrite.”

“I can’t go on like this man. I am crushed here.”

The former two-weight world champion allegedly exhibited his private parts to a young married woman in the upmarket port town of Calvi on the island of Corsica on September 6.

Formal allegations were made against Mcgregor to police last Thursday by an as yet unnamed complainant.

Police raided his yacht on Friday, the day before Mcgregor was due to take part in a 180km, 24-hour charity water bike race from Calvi to Monaco with Princess Charlene. Emmanuelle Ramon, Mcgregor’s lawyer, said his client “vigorously denied any wrongdoing”.

He added: “He has been released before the legal end of police custody and without any judicial review.” Audie Attar, Mcgregor’s manager, said in a statement: “I am irate and putting out a warning loud and clear: Conor Mcgregor is not and will not be a target for those seeking to score a headline or a payday.”

The Notorious was staying on his yacht with his girlfriend, Dee Devlin, and their two children, in preparation for the water bike race.

Princess Charlene would have been alongside him on race to help promote water safety but the UFC star has now been forced to withdraw from the event.
