Cross-border test app trialled

SIX European Union countries and the bloc’s executive commission have started testing a virtual “gateway” to ensure national coronavirus tracing apps can work across borders.

If the tests succeed, travellers from Ireland, Italy, Germany, Latvia, Denmark and the Czech Republic will be able to use their own apps while abroad in the other five.
