Arts loses £3m every month

THE arts sector is losing €3 million a month with 55,000 jobs at risk.

The National Campaign For The Arts said: “The survival of an industry that benefits society, communities, individuals, businesses and the exchequer” now lies in the hands of the government.

It called for Arts Council funding to rise €135million next year to at least doubling investment by 2025.
