Lad’s Leaving Cert concert goes viral
A TEENAGER’S performance to his neighbours after he received disappointing Leaving Cert results has gone viral online.
Martin Mcdonnell, 18, didn’t get the grades to make it to music college but got a boost when US record label 88Rising shared his video on their Twitter page.
He was singing Lose by pop star NIKI, who is signed to the massive label, and they told him they “loved it”.
The concert was shared on Twitter and has been viewed 160,000 times.
Martin said: “Played a gig for the neighbours when I got Leaving Cert results.
“I didn’t get my college place – the difference between a H5 and a H6.”
