Lesley & Colt very fortunate

DOGS are known as man’s best friend but they can also be very dangerous.

Lesley Kane from Ratoath in Co Meath was left terrified last week after her beloved dog, Colt, was attacked by a stray Akita.

This breed can regularly weigh up to 39kg and the fact this dog was wandering around a town alone and unmuzzled is beyond idiotic of their owner.

It is lucky that both Lesley and Colt got away from the ordeal with no permanent damage.

It is a valuable lesson for owners of these large dog breeds to take the necessary precautions to assure they are locked up safely.
