RYAN FREDERICKS insists West Ham’s run of daunting fixtures could kickstart their season – instead of sending them into the drop zone.

The Hammers lost 2-0 at home to Newcastle on Saturday, and play Arsenal, Wolves, Leicester, Tottenham, Manchester City and Liverpool before the end of October.

But full-back Fredericks (right) said: “We did well against some of the top-six and top-eight teams last season and we’ll do it again. We ended last season well, we were flying.”
