Meaney’s Claus to celebrate
ACTING legend Colm Meaney looks unrecognisable as he stars as Santa in a new advert for Aldi.
The Snapper star debuted alongside Kevin the Carrot, who made a dramatic return to the screens this week to kick off the festive season.
Colm, 67, who has gone from playing a mobster boss in Gangs of
London to the man in red, said: “I thought it was about time that I played the big man himself and so was delighted to be asked by Aldi to be part of its Christmas campaign.”
He added: “Kevin the Carrot and his family were incredibly welcoming on set and the whole experience was a total joy – even getting in and out of the big red
suit.”
