Stone eligible for parole bid

J AI L E D l o y a l i s t k i l l e r Michael Stone has won a fight to overturn a decision he must remain behind bars until 2024.

The Court of Appeal in Belfast r ul ed yest erday that six years he spent out on licence should count towards his 30- year tariff.

It means the Milltown Cemetery bomber is now eligible to apply for parole.

Judges also dismissed a separate attempt by the si st er of one of Stone’s victims to stop the 65- yearold seeking early release.
