Daniel: Word on Street is I’m too old..

DANIEL O’donnell thinks he’s too old to fulfil his dream of bagging a role on his favourite soap Coronation Street.

The Donegal- born country crooner has enjoyed major success worldwide since he burst on to the music scene in the 1980s.

Admitting he has been a loyal Corrie f an since the beginning, Daniel told how despite his Irish roots an appearance on the cobbles has always been very high on his wish list.

Asked if he’d still be up for making a cameo, at home or away, the 58- year- old told The Social Media: “Ah, but sure I think I am too old for t h a t now. Street was watched.

“I don’t watch Fair City on a regul ar basis, Coronation Street you see was there for so long.”

On lockdown at home i n Donegal with his wife Majella, D a n i e l s a i d h e’s missing hi s beloved card nights with his pals.

But with the TV season in full swing, the former Strictly Come Dancing star, who took part in the series in 2015, added he’ ll be tuning in every week with interest as he remains indoors. He said: “I will

He added: “I was asked a long time ago about that but I wouldn’t have any interest in doing that.

“I don’t care who would want me in it, I wouldn’t do it anyway.”
