LONGFORD v LAOIS ( GAAGO) v MEATH ( GAAGO)
Tomorrow, Pearse Park, 1.30pm LONGFORD laboured to a victory over Louth last Sunday and while they should benefit from that outing tomorrow, Laois represent a considerable stepup.
Mike Quirke’s team were poor for the vast majority of their two League games, but their smash- and- grab raid on Fermanagh should work wonders for their confidence.
OUR VERDICT: Laois
WICKLOW
Today, Croke Park, 3.45pm PROMOTION from Division Four and a first round win over Wexford is as much as Davy Burke ( inset) could have hoped for in his first ho year in Wicklow, but opportunity knocks here. Aughrim’s A status as a fortress may be overstated but it doesn’t hinder Wicklow. Meath don’t carry the fear factor of old, but they’ll get the job done.
OUR VERDICT: Meath
