JOSE: PAL SLAV WILL SAVE JOB

- BY PAUL BROWN

JOSE MOURINHO insists it is outrageous that Slaven Bilic is clinging to his job – but claims the West Brom boss can handle the pressure.

Bilic and the Baggies remain winless this season and he is on the brink ahead of his struggling side’s clash with Tottenham tomorrow.

But Mourinho, who is close friends with Bilic, said he can turn things around.

The Spurs boss ( with Bilic, above) said: “If he is under pressure, it is difficult to understand as he helped the club in such a difficult position after being relegated.

“He brought them back to the Premier League and we started the season just a few months ago. It is also a strange league at the moment.

“You win a game you are up the table, you lose one and you are back down again. So I really don’t understand why he is under pressure, if that is the case.

“But he is a big boy and he has a lot of experience which can help his club and I am sure he can cope with anything he has to deal with.”
