COAD CRACKED IT

- DAVE ARMITAGE

BRENDAN RODGERS says he is delighted that Conor Coady has gone on to great things at Wolves.

Leicester boss s

Rodgers had a fledgling Coady under his wing when he was in charge at

Liverpool. The centre- back came through the ranks at Anfield before Rodgers sold him to Huddersfield in 2014. He has since been called into the England side.

Rodgers, who will come up against the 27- year- old ( below) tomorrow, said: “It’s been so refreshing to see a young player progress like he has.

“I’m so pleased for him. He was a youngster when I went in at Liverpool but he had a fantastic attitude. “I followed his career to Huddersfield and his transformation going to Wolves. Conor has a wonderful football brain. Football is his passion. I was delighted he got his England call.”
