ANT Mcpartlin says he hasn’t decided if Declan Donnelly will be his best man again – and Dec reckons his competition is of the four-legged kind.

Ant, previously wed to make-up artist Lisa Armstrong, proposed to Anne-marie Corbett on Christmas Eve.

He said: “It was a lovely way to end the year. I’m a romantic at heart. You know, there were flowers, and afternoon tea in front of the Christmas tree.”

Asked if Dec would be best man, Ant added: “He was very good last time. He has been my best man. I’ve been his best man. But I suppose it depends on what kind of wedding we have. There’s been no plans.”

Dec said: “I think it’s between me and the dog!” Ant shares chocolate labrador Hurley with Lisa, and he and Anne-marie have Milo and Bumble together.

The presenting duo also said they would not mind if I’m A Celebrity stayed at Gwrych Castle in North Wales for a second year. Ant told Digital Spy magazine: “I’d be very happy. We were very welcomed. There were cardboard cutouts of me and Dec in the butcher’s, and the local school did a tribute. We’d miss the sunshine, mind...”

Dec added: “The people in Wales were lovely. They made us feel very welcome. I had a lovely time.

“I’d love to go back to Oz. But if we had to go back to Wales, I wouldn’t be disappointed.”

Ant and Dec, both 45, are back with Saturday Night Takeaway on ITV this month. Dec said: “We are coming up with ways to do a much more interactive, virtual wall, more than any other show has done.”
