MANAGING CHELSEA IS CONDUCTOR TUCHEL AIMS FOR A SWEET BLUES TUNE EASY

Mourinho turns up the heat on new Blues boss saying it’s easy to win trophies at the Bridge

THOMAS TUCHEL wants to conduct a Chelsea orchestra where every player is note perfect.

The Blues boss takes his men to Tottenham tonight for his first London derby since taking charge last week.

But the former Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saintgermain boss already knows exactly what he wants.

Chelsea have yet to concede a goal in two games under the German, who succeeded the sacked Frank Lampard. But this is their toughest test yet, although Tuchel insisted he will soon have his players dancing to his Teutonic tune.

“I’m German - so maybe it comes from there,” said Tuchel. “I believe in a disciplined structure on the field, and in respect from everybody for his position.

“It’s like an orchestra. We have to follow a discipline, a speed, a style. Everybody should know where the other guy is.

“We need a good relationship between the players and me, so we trust each other. We have to take care of performance that’s crucial - and results will hopefully follow.

“They don’t follow all the time in football. It’s hardest to accept for a coach who wants to control and plan everything. But you have to accept you can’t control the result.

“What the team needs is a glue to stick together, overcome obstacles, work for each other. You can only smell it on the sidelines. It’s hard to explain in statistics.”

Tuchel, who could be without the injured Kurt Zouma and Kai Havertz for the visit to Spurs, added: “If you ask me if I prefer tonight to win lucky or lose undeservedly, I go for a lucky win. Of course!

“How would I celebrate? My alcohol consumption is close to zero - but we can celebrate, no problem.”
