Gardai arrest man over gun attack in 2019

-

A MAN has been arrested in relation to a shooting incident in Dublin in 2019.

The male in his 40s is the fourth person to be quizzed about the attack at Blakestown Road in Blanchardstown on June 1.

The man was arrested in the Swords area yesterday and taken to Blanchardstown Garda station for questioning.

A Garda spokesman said: “On December 2, 2020, one woman in her 30s and two men in their 30s were arrested in relation to this incident.

“All three have since been released with a file due to the Director of Public Prosecutions.”

RTE Investigates this week reminded us once again of Ireland’s dark past when the State and its proxies in the Catholic Church conspired to persecute poor women and children.

The programme showed Prof Eamonn de Valera Jr, the son of former President Eamon de Valera, repeatedly committed criminal acts by facilitating the illegal adoption of babies.

He was just part of an elite who persistently broke the law knowing it did not apply to them.

We would be foolish to believe much has changed when the State still refuses to hand over records to those who were illegally adopted so they can discover their true identity.

If the elites of today had their way such scandals would remain hidden – hence the haste to destroy records.

NOT alone has the rollout of the country’s vaccine programme been painfully slow, it is now emerging there are serious shortcomings in distribution.

There have been numerous complaints from GPS about the late delivery of jabs while at least one surgery did not get the syringes and needles needed to administer them.

After a good start, unfortunately it would appear the HSE is reverting to type where delays have nothing to do with medicine and medics but are down to lousy management.
