ROCHELLE Humes has revealed she had to overrule husband Marvin and ban her eight-year-old daughter from having a Tiktok account.

The ex-saturdays star, 32, said she was forced to be “bad cop” after he told Alaia she was allowed on the social network.

She said: “Alaia asked me for a Tiktok account and she’s eight and I’m like, ‘No’.

“She only wanted it because her cousin has it and it was like, ‘oh, you know they’re doing these dances’ and I’m like ‘you can do the dances, but you don’t need a Tiktok’.”

JLS star Marvin, 36, and Rochelle, who also have four-yearold Valentina and eight-month-old Blake, co-present BBC1’S The Hit List.

Rochelle told the Sweat, Snot and Tears podcast Alaia often plays them off each other to try to get her own way.

“That’s the hardest for parents,” Rochelle said. “I’m definitely tougher on the girls than he is. They literally just have to say ‘Daddy’ and give him one look and they’ve already got what they wanted. Then it’s like ‘Me and Daddy haven’t even caught up on this yet. I need to talk to Daddy about it’.

“And then it’s obvious that Mummy said no but Daddy said I could. That’s where the bad cop comes in.”

Tiktok users share 15-second videos and it is particularly popular with teenagers. But parents worry about the negative effects it can have, including trolling and low self-esteem.

Rochelle has 42,000 followers and has shared videos of her and Alaia dancing.

But she is not interested in turning her children into social media stars.

She said: “I just want them to live their best lives. We’ve worked hard and live in a nice way but I don’t want them to think that is life. They still need goals.”
