THE Nolan sisters are to perform on stage together for the first time in 43 years – as Linda continues her fight with incurable liver cancer.

The Irish singing siblings, from Dublin, last sang live together in 1978.

But finally they are all in the mood for dancing again, and will be reuniting on a second series of their hit show Nolans Go Cruising.

The first series saw Anne, 70, Maureen, 67, Linda, 62, and Irish Mirror Agony Aunt Coleen, 56, hit the Mediterranean, but sister Denise, 69, was unable to join them. The reunion is particularly poignant as it comes after the Nolans planted a tree to mark the anniversary of sister Bernie’s death on Monday, eight years since she passed away from secondary breast cancer aged just 53 in 2013.

It will also be the first time ever Coleen and Denise have performed together in the Nolan Sisters line-up.

Denise says: “I’m so excited to be joining my sisters on the cruise and to be sharing a stage with them after so long! I know Bernie will be up there cheering us on!”

The year since the first series has also been incredibly difficult as both Anne and Linda were diagnosed with cancer in early 2020 and had to have joint chemotherapy - during the pandemic. Anne’s now cancer free after beating her secondary breast cancer, 17 years after first being diagnosed. Meanwhile Linda had been told her secondary breast cancer, found in 2017, had spread to her liver and was now incurable.

Just last month she had to pull out of a theatre tour of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun – passing the role to sister Maureen.
