RANGERS FIND FORM AS HIBS TOP TABLE

- BY IAN WINROW

STEVEN GERRARD believes his Rangers side is beginning to click following a 4-2 win at Ross County.

Joe Aribo and Connor Goldson put Gerrard’s men two up and Alfredo Morelos restored the two-goal cushion after Harry Clarke struck for the home side just before half-time.

A Jordan White penalty fired County’s hopes of a comeback before Scott Arfield wrapped up the win with six minutes to go.

Boss Gerrard (above) said: “That was much more like us in terms of how it looked both in and out of possession and I’m a lot more happy.”

Hibernian moved to the top of the table after a 2-2 draw at Dundee but boss Jack Ross was left frustrated at his side’s failure to see out the game and win three points.

Ryan Porteus put Hibs ahead after team-mate Martin Boyle’s penalty had cancelled out Jason Cummings’s early opener for the home side, before Paul Mcgowan equalised in the 83rd minute.

Ross said: “It’s a sign of how far we’ve come that we have seven points from three games and we’re still a little bit frustrated.”

Hearts and Aberdeen remain unbeaten and level on points with Hibs after the two teams played out a 1-1 draw at Tynecastle.

Liam Boyce put Hearts ahead from the spot before Funso Ojo secured a point for the visitors.

Peter Pawlett struck St Johnstone’s goal in their

1-0 win at Dundee United before being sent off after being booked first for his celebration and then later for diving.

On Saturday, David Turnbull struck a hat-trick as Celtic swept aside St Mirren – reduced to 10 men after the 19th-minute dismissal of Alan Power – in a 6-0 win, while Motherwell came from behind at Livingston, Tony Watt and Liam Grimshaw replying to Alan Forrest in a 2-1 win.
