Man U star’s wife hides during break-in terror
She’s alone with kids as home ransacked
THE terrified wife of Manchester United star Victor Lindelof had to lock herself and their two children in a room as burglars ransacked their home.
Maja Nilsson Lindelof, 28, was alone with son Ted Louie, three, and baby Francis, three months, when she realised someone was forcing their way in.
She told Instagram followers of her ordeal while her husband was playing in Wednesday’s 3-1 win at Brentford.
She wrote: “I was home alone with both kids but we managed to hide and lock ourselves in a room before they entered.
“We are okay under the circumstances but it was obviously a very traumatic and scary for both me and my little kids.
“We are now in Sweden and are spending some time off with our families.”
The burglary at his Manchester home caps a dreadful month for the Swedish star.
TRAUMATIC
He has caught Covid, suffered heart problems in a game at Norwich and had baby son Francis admitted to hospital.
Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick has allowed Lindelof , 27, time off. He said: “I spoke with him at length on our flight back from London and also this morning. This was really a traumatic event, especially for his wife and the three-year-old.
“He said that he right now needs to stay at home.
“He doesn’t want to leave his wife and family alone, which I can fully understand.
“We agreed he will not be training today and not on duty for Saturday’s game against West Ham.”
Defender Lindelof is the second Manchester player to be targeted in recent weeks. In December, thieves broke into the home of Man City’s Joao Cancelo, attacked him in front of his
family and stole jewellery.
