EURO DREAM IS DIFFERENT NOW BUT STILL ALIVE

V Disappointed Moyes now eyes NEXT season

- Carrow Road: Tomorrow, 2pm PAUL BROWN

DAVID MOYES says West Ham have no choice but to bounce back from their Europa League heartbreak by beating Norwich

tomorrow.

And he insists he would now be happy just to qualify for the Europa Conference League this season.

The Hammers go to Carrow Road hoping to avoid a hangover after losing to Eintracht Frankfurt (left) and missing out on their first European final in 46 years.

“We have to focus,” said Moyes. “You have to quickly get yourself ready for the game.

“We’re in a good league position and we want to stay there.

“We want to be in Europe again next year if we can be. So we have to win some games. We have challenged most of the teams in the Premier League and most of the teams in Europe as well.

“To get so close and not win a cup or not get to a final is certainly disappointing.

“It will not be easy to pick ourselves up but we’ll do everything to make the best we can of it.”

West Ham were hunting a topfour finish for most of the season but are now 11 points adrift.

The Hammers are seventh in the Premier League, six points behind sixth-placed Manchester United with a game in hand.

If they finish in the top six they would qualify for the Europa League but seventh place would currently mean the Conference League instead.

Moyes said: “I would be happy if that’s the competition we ended up playing in. Yes. One hundred percent.

“We know that we could still finish sixth and we want to be in a European spot if we can.

“We want to pick up three points to get us up and running for the last few games.”
