NO CHANCE OF ROCCHI HORROR SHOW TODAY

ROCCHIGIANI (2.25) chased home top-class Maljoom in the German 2,000 Guineas in May and he was far from disgraced when fifth in the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Peter Schiergen’s German raider didn’t have the pace for 7f on fast ground at the Royal meeting and he’ll be much happier returned to a mile.
There’s a fair chance he will be able to grab the lead from stall one. If he’s allowed to set his own pace, he will be difficult to pass. Have 2pts win at 8-1.
SUPER SUPERJACK (1.50) is a progressive stayer.
He travels well through his races, so he will enjoy the likely strong pace, and I’m confident he’s got the stamina to see out this marathon distance.
His 2m win at Goodwood in April is a handy piece of course form and it shows he handles this unique track.

DESERT ENCOUNTER (4.10) is getting on a bit but I still fancy him to show his much younger rivals a thing or two.
David Simcock’s 10-year-old won this race in 2019 and he was runner-up in it 12 months later.
He likes a solid gallop and I don’t think there will be much hanging about in the early stages. His comeback run over 1m2f at Newbury was better than it looked and he probably needs this longer trip these days. Have 1pt each-way at 16-1.
A low draw seems to be a big help in the Coral Golden Mile. The last six winners of this hugely-competitive handicap raced out of one of the five stalls nearest the rail.
LAWFUL COMMAND (3.00) has bagged box four so he should be able to slot into a nice position.
He twice won over this course and distance earlier in the season and he ran a blinder when fifth in the Britannia Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Have 1pt each-way at 14-1. Several bookies are paying out on six places and Sky Bet are going seven.
