HERE is jealous husband Bryan Kennedy on the streets as he prepares to serve his time for trying to hire a hitman to eliminate suspected love rivals.

Kennedy was this week sentenced to four-and-a-half years in jail at Dublin’s Central Criminal Court for his role in hatching the “grotesque” plan.

But our pictures show the 35-year-old out and about in the the capital as he enjoys three more months of freedom before being thrown behind bars.

Living on Shanliss Avenue in Santry, North Dublin, longhaired Kennedy emerged from his house shortly after 10am on Thursday morning wearing distinctive combat bottoms, a grey hoodie, grey jumper, scarf and boots.

When approached by the Irish Mirror, he did not stop.

He told us: “No comment, that’s all you’re going to hear, no comment.”

When we asked another question, Kennedy pulled his scarf up over his mouth and continued walking.

Kennedy – who was previously convicted at District Court level for possession of child pornography – attempted to hire a man he knew to be “unhinged” to kill his wife’s online friends, couple Stephanie Poirier and Clara Houde-brumette, who live in rural Canada. Kennedy’s now ex

had made contact with couple via an online game.

He had become aware of Facebook messages of an intimate nature between his then-wife and the couple, which included an invitation from the couple to join them in Canada.

From there, the enraged jealous hubby came up with a plan to get the two women whacked.

In court this week, Ms Justice Caroline Biggs said that despite warnings from the hitman that Kennedy was going down a “dangerous road”, he went ahead with the plan which she branded as “grotesque”.

Kennedy paid the would-be gunman – who can’t be named for legal reasons – €8,000 by taking loans from family and friends.

At one point, the court heard, Kennedy spoke about whether it would be cheaper to kill one but then decided to kill both.

He gave the hitman details of the women after accessing his wife’s Facebook page. Ms Justice Biggs said: “This is not a plan that is spontaneous, it is initiated by him and he takes time to think about it and having done so he decides to pursue it.

“It is not a spontaneous plan borne out of rage or bravado, it is planned and meant to be executed.”

The judge told the court that Kennedy’s decision to pull out of his plan was because he had doubts over the hitman – not because he didn’t want the two women dead.

Kennedy last year pleaded guilty to soliciting a man to murder Stephanie Poirier on a date unknown between October 1, 2019, and January 11, 2020, both dates inclusive, within the State.

Kennedy pleaded guilty to the same offence relating to Ms Poirier’s partner, Clara Houde-brumette.

He is expected to be taken into custody on April 17.

Ms Justice Biggs gave this timeline because Kennedy is the primary carer for his children.

His ex-wife is disabled and unable to provide the care they need.

Child and family agency Tusla is to put supports in place for the youngsters.
