So, who’ll Churn-up at Glasto?

-

THE full line-up for next month’s Glastonbury festival was revealed yesterday though it still contained the usual mysterious special guest slots, and an intriguing slot for an unknown group, The Churnups, high on the Pyramid stage bill on Friday night.

Could it be Pulp? Blur? A supergroup featuring both? Guesses galore are spreading on social media.

Elsewhere, Rick Astley, left, has been added to the bill, meaning the singer will make his debut at the festival on the Pyramid stage. Could he bring the likes of Mary Berry or Foo Fighters with him for his set?

He has collaborated with both at previous gigs.

Meanwhile, Elton John, who headlines Sunday night for his finalever UK gig, hints he’ll be bringing some of the many A-listers he has collaborated with over the years.

They include Dua Lipa, Eminem, Cher, Kiki Dee, Ed Sheeran... the list goes on, and on.

“I’ve got guests and I can’t tell you who they are,” he told Radio 2 yesterday.

He also confirmed he is currently recording with Dolly Parton, who performed at the festival in 2014. So perhaps she could pop along...

Let the guessing games continue.

Tina Turner is set for a posthumous return to the charts with two albums. Her Platinum Collection is at No12 in the midweeks, while Private Dancer is No31.

Down-to-earth Kathy Burke found herself living a very showbiz lifestyle when she won the Palme d’or Best Actress award at Cannes.

Having only an old passport, getting to the ceremony back in 1997 was going to be tricky but fortunately Gary Oldman “got on the phone to the British Embassy” to sort her paperwork, while film director Luc Besson arranged for her to use his plane.

“My agent was thrilled that the pilot carried his bag,” she tells Alan Carr’s Life’s A Beach podcast. “He thought it was the greatest thing that had ever happened in his life.”
