Movie PICKS
SATURDAY
Finding Your Feet, Ch4, 7.05pm Comedy starring Imelda Staunton as a posh woman who goes to live with her sister on a London housing estate after discovering her husband has been having an affair with her best friend.
At a grand soiree given in her honour, Lady Sandra Abbott (Staunton) discovers that her husband Mike (John Sessions) has been having an affair with her best friend.
Justifiably outraged, she leaves him. But where for? The only person she can think of staying with is her sister, Bif (Celia Imrie), who lives on a London housing estate.
The sisters couldn’t be more different, but when Bif invites Sandra to her dance class, things start to change. Will the two sisters rediscover the relationship they had when they were kids? Could ‘her majesty’ find happiness so late in life? And even end up living on a barge? Hope so!
The ensemble cast also includes Timothy Spall and Joanna Lumley.
SATURDAY
Murder On The Orient Express,
Ch4, 9.15pm
Kenneth Branagh, Judi Dench, Johnny Depp and Penélope Cruz lead an all-star cast in this remake of the Agatha Christie murder-mystery classic.
Not long after the prestigious train sets off on its snow-covered voyage, foul play occurs onboard and a passenger meets his maker in grisly fashion.
Thankfully, one of the passengers is the legendary Belgian supersleuth Hercule Poirot (played by Branagh, who’s also on directing duties), armed with a brain matched in size only by his moustache (which is big enough to do chin-ups on).
This twisting whodunnit will have you guessing until the end, and has almost as many stars as the Milky
Way, with Willem Dafoe, Josh Gad, Derek Jacobi, Leslie Odom Jr., Michelle Pfeiffer, Daisy Ridley, Lucy Boynton, Sergei Polunin, Marwan Kenzari, Olivia Colman, Manuel Garcia-rulfo, Tom Bateman and Miranda Raison all onboard for the ride.
TUESDAY
Mile 22, Film4, 9pm Network premiere of this actionpacked spy thriller starring Mark Wahlberg, John Malkovich, Lauren Cohan and Iko Uwais.
CIA Agent James Silva (Wahlberg) leads a small team of elite intelligence officers in a unit code-named Overwatch. Their mission is to find and destroy the highly toxic substance caesium before it can be weaponised and used to kill.
A year and a half after successfully infiltrating a Russian safe house, Li Noor (Uwais) —a police officer from the fictional country Indocarr — surrenders at the US embassy to negotiate passage out of the country in exchange for information.
Agent Silva agrees to take Noor on the 22-mile journey to an aeroplane.
They haven’t travelled far before Indocarr state intelligence agent Axel and his team attempt to take Noor back. As the conflict intensifies, the number of casualties increases, and some members of Overwatch do not make it to mile 22 of the journey.
So, who will make it out alive?

Along with his two celebrity guest stars, Jason Bateman and Maya Rudolph, he is on a mission to figure out...who killed Santa?
But here’s the catch: Bateman and Rudolph aren’t being given the script. They have no idea what’s about to happen to them.
Together, with Seattle (and many surprises), they will have to improvise their way through the case... but it will be up to both of them to name the killer.
Based off the BAFTA award winning BBC3 series Murder In Successville.
