Dean hits a nerve in this week’s trip to Carrigstow­n when he suggests Gar keeps the inheritanc­e. Meanwhile, Joan is flustered when she believes Tommy is wise to her plan, but she throws him off the scent as Gar reluctantl­y seeks Joan’s financial advice.

Tommy presses Joan for informatio­n on Gar’s travel plans as her hopes for reconcilia­tion are dashed when Gar makes it clear he wants to keep things strictly profession­al between them.

Meanwhile, Tommy urges Gar to be straight with Dearbhla about his plans to leave town.

Elsewhere, Zoe makes excuses to avoid attending Juliet’s going away party — and feels inspired when

Hughie expresses his belief in her potential and so she reconsider­s attending college.

Later, Juliet and Alex are delighted when Zoe turns up at the party.

But Kira’s overbearin­g nature causes Juliet to lash out, though she soon feels guilty about her outburst when Mondo reveals Kira arranged a special going away home video for Juliet.

As Juliet says her goodbyes to Alex and Zoe, Zoe pushes down her sadness at Juliet’s happy family.

Later, she offers to help Alex with a college project, much to his delight.

And buoyed by Zoe’s praise, Alex invites her for a drink.

But when Carol discovers Zoe failed to show up for a shift at the laundrette, she confronts her about skiving off work.

When Alex comes to her defence, Zoe is thrilled — but is Alex getting the wrong impression?

Meanwhile, Hughie wins her around after she confronts him for telling tales to Carol.

But later Zoe and Renee go headto-head over a damaged jacket at the laundrette before Zoe informs Carol that she’s moving out and negotiates a deal with Hughie to live at the Pod.

Also this week, Georgie is surprising­ly upbeat when he fails his salon management course, but Sharon is too nervous to check her results.

But Hayley makes Sharon bite the bullet and check her exam results and later Hayley encourages Sharon to let her hair down and join Georgie for a night out celebratin­g.
