IS HUGHIE PLAYING WITH FIRE?
In this week’s Fair City Zoe convinces Hughie to let her update the laundrette’s outdated operations — and insists Zoe borrow Farrah’s old laptop from the Pod.
Hughie is touched when Zoe and Alex show interest in his past after finding photos on Farrah’s old laptop.
But when Renee confronts Zoe for taking Farrah’s laptop, Zoe tells her to take it up with Hughie.
Meanwhile, Carol inadvertently reveals Zoe’s sugar babying past to Renee before encouraging Zoe to give Alex a chance after she rejects his proposal to take her out again.
Later, Sharon and Rafferty work hard to act normal around Carol — and with Renee’s warning ringing in his ears, Hughie acts cautiously around Zoe
Zoe, meanwhile, heeds Carol’s advice and tells Alex to ask her out again.
Elsewhere, Ray and Nora argue over whether Nora is fit to return to work while Zoe and Alex go for a drink together.
There, Alex questions why Hughie is really helping Zoe, giving her pause for thought.
Later, Zoe returns Farrah’s laptop to Hughie, not wanting to be indebted to him while Renee warns Hughie of the importance of keeping his relationship with Zoe strictly professional.
Meanwhile, Rafferty is distracted by a text from Sharon asking him to come the salon.
Nora warms towards Rafferty after she learns he has been trying with Jack.
And Dolores is won over by Sharon’s plans to add a barber’s chair to the salon, but Erica is unconvinced.
Sharon’s plans to meet with Rafferty are thwarted when Georgie arrives at the salon, but she soon gets rid of him.
Elsehwere this weekm Paul’s meeting with Christine makes it clear he needs to butter up Orla for money if he wants to save Vino’s.
So Paul tries to use Ruth to emotionally blackmail Orla into transferring him money but Orla is wise to his tactics.
Sharon, meanwhile, worries that Mairead is on to her and Rafferty when they share a warm moment in public.
And Sharon’s paranoia grows when she sees Mairead talking to Carol while Mairead and Carol both vie for the
Chair position at the Trader’s Association AGM.
Finally this week, Anna rejects Georgie’s pitch to become her housemate but reconsiders after Sean tells her that Dean may be looking to move in. Anna decides to let Georgie move in on a month’s trial after Erica sings his praises.
