During an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Lost City co-stars Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum told of the unusual venue for their first ever meeting — the principal’s office of their daughters’ preschool. “We have two very, very strong-willed little girls that, you know, at that young age were very much butting heads,” Tatum (42) said after Corden asked about their pair’s first introduction.

Sandra — mum to son Louis and daughter Laila — told how she would always answer the phone hoping to hear it was Channing’s daughter, Everly, who started the fight.

Channing laughed adding,“i would be like,‘of all the people…of all the people to fight with her daughter!’”

Bullock added that the principal handled the situation well and tried to resolve the constant“altercations”with a challenge of“who can be the nicest to the other one”.

“So they would start bringing each other little Dixie cups of water,” Bullock laughed when talking about how the two girls tried to mend their relationship.

And recently, while Tatum was partaking in a lie detector test with Vanity Fair, the subject came up again, however, the star was happy to report the feud is over between the two girls — and they are actually good friends now.

He said,“our daughters got into a couple of scraps at school because they’re both very, very, very strong-willed little girls. It was a very fun year that year.”

The actor was then asked whether Everly and Laila“still have beef”and he replied,“they love each other now, literally can’t get enough of each other. They just want to hang out all the time.”

The polygraph administrator announced Tatum was“telling the truth”about the matter. And it was also backed up by Bullock in an interview with PEOPLE. She said,“channing and I were always getting called by the principal of our school because our daughters were at each other’s throats. It’s not the case anymore, but like, one of them was trying to outdo the other one and take the other one down. It was hilarious.”

Bullock added that Laila and Everly actually became friends after they got to spend time together while their parents filmed The Lost City.

“They’re both equally suited and they were both as strong but now we had a month for them to be quarantined while we were filming and it was a love fest,”she explained.“just sleepovers, everyone in my bed. It was everyone, not Channing. Just the kids. Channing got the night off, he was off with his buddies.”

It seems Laila and Everly are now BFFS and it got us thinking about which other celebrity offspring enjoyed playdates as youngsters…

It seems Sandra Bullock’s kids make new buddies every time she makes a new film as while she was filming Heat her son Lewis had a great time playing with her co-star Melissa Mccarthy’s daughter Vivian Falcone. The actresses met on set in 2013, and they took the term“buddy comedy”literally as they became friends off set too, as have their kids who have been seen going trick-or-treating together. Both sets of friendships likely formed from Bullock and Mccarthy’s similar parenting styles during a promotional period for Heat by Parade.com, both proclaimed their children aren’t growing up like Hollywood rich kids. Bullock told the publication,“i don’t raise Louis in Hollywood. I raise him in my world.”while Mccarthy added,“[her husband] Ben [Falcone] and I have absolutely nothing to do with the

Hollywood that’s all actors and the Sunset Strip.”

Another couple of actresses who became friends on set

“Jennifer is very normal. We carpool together.”

are Sarah Michelle Gellar And Reese Witherspoon who both starred in the 1999 cult thriller Cruel Intentions. Speaking in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Gellar said her and Freddie Prinze Jr’s son Rocky, and Witherspoon’s youngest child Tennessee, with husband Jim Toth, are extremely close and they often carpooled together. She added, Reese’s son and my son are best friends.”

Another set of mums who enjoy a carpool are Jennifer Garner and former Dancing With The Stars co-host Brooke Burke-charvet. The pair spend a lot of time together because their kids go to the same school. Burke-charvet told Us magazine in 2013 she would trust Garner, a mother of three with husband Ben Affleck, to babysit her own four children, adding,“(jennifer) is very normal and she and I carpool together — so I trust her!”

Hilary Duff and Jack Osbourne’s wife, Lisa Osbourne, have been friends for years so it was inevitable that their children would become chummy too. Duff’s son Luca and Osbourne’s daughter Pearl are the same age, with only a few months between them, so they have grown up together, attending the same baby class in Hollywood and often shared an ice-cream date.“two of the sweetest babes I know, Luca & Pearl! @hilaryduff #icecream #gelato,”, lifestyle blogger Lisa wrote on her Instagram account, sharing a picture of the two kids having a sweet treat. While Duff posted a black-and-white snap from the outing on her own Instagram account, saying,“luca&pearl’s ice cream date @mrslisao we made some cuties.”

North West has two very famous parents, so it is only fitting that she have a host of A-lister pals too. The famous daughter of Kanye West and

Kim Kardashian has regular playdates, and often they’re with the children of other famous people. Kardashian’s friend, singer Ciara, has introduced her son to the toddler, and the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star photographed her daughter playing with the daughter of pal Larsa Pippen. When Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson’s daughter Maxwell turned 10 last year, her pal North was by her side for her party. One month later, North returned the invite by bringing Maxwell along to her exclusive“camp North”birthday party. “I’m comin’ next time,”simpson joked in an Instagram comment about the bash. However, it seems North’s most constant companions are her cousins, Kourtney Kardashian’s two oldest children, Mason and Penelope.

Jimmy Fallon and his wife Nancy Juvonen have been friends with Drew Barrymore and her husband Will Kopelman for years as Barrymore and Juvonen run the production company Flower Films together, and the actress starred opposite Fallon in the 2005 romantic comedy Fever Pitch. So when she appeared on The Tonight Show, she and the host gushed about their kids’ friendship.“our babies play with each other,”fallon said, showing pictures of his daughter Winnie Rose playing with Barrymore’s two girls Olive and Frankie.“they’re pals!”.

Meanwhile, Barrymore and Toni Collette starred together in a film called Missyou Already which pays a loving tribute to the beauty of friendship and how essential healthy relationships can be to our lives. And judging by their chemistry on screen, it’s no surprise that the pair are also friends in real life, as are their kids. Toni and Drew hung out often while shooting the movie, and they revealed to Huffington Post in an interview their“kids hung out and played”too.

Australian actors Hugh Jackman and

Cate Blanchett have been friends for over a decade, having collaborated in a film together back in 2006.Their families are also friends, and the duo have included their kids in their outings, too. Cate was even photographed dropping her kiddos at Hugh’s house during a snowstorm for some winter wonderland fun. Jackman hung out with the kids while demonstrating his best snowball fighting skills.

Famous fathers Neil Patrick Harris and Elton John have gotten their broods together for family vacations since 2010.

The How I Metyour Mother star and his husband, David Burtka, are parents to twins Gideon and Harper, while singer

John and his husband David Furnish have two boys Zachary and Elijah. In 2015, the famous friends got their families together for a January trip to Hawaii and a month later, John, who sang at Harris and Burtka’s wedding, brought his boys to the Oscars so they could cheer on their“uncle Neil”.“the boys stop by for a visit in the sweetest little black tie dinner suits. They are so happy to see Uncle Neil on the big screen!!@ejaf #Oscars,”he wrote alongside a snap of him, Furnish and their sons.

In summer of 2021, actress Hilary Duff rounded up some of her showbiz pals and their kids for some mid-pandemic fun. The star-studded playdate took place at her home where she invited guests including Mandy Moore, Ashley Tisdale, and Meghan Trainor to take part in a baby music class. In the photos shared on Instagram by the Lizzie Mcguire star, Hilary’s daughter Mae, Mandy‘s son Gus, Ashley‘s daughter Jupiter and Meghan‘s son Riley are all laying down on a blanket while their mums play with little musical instruments.

Mariah Carey and Alicia Keys are two of the most influential vocalists of the last 20 years, but they are also really good friends. In fact, the duo has been known to organise playdates between their children. Mariah and her then-husband Nick Cannon were seen taking their twins Monroe and Moroccan Cannon to play with Alicia’s son with her husband Swizz Beatz, Egypt Dean, in 2012. According to Vibe.com, the happy dads chronicled the playdate on Instagram featuring the grown-ups“racing cars with the kids”during the fun-filled romp!

Mariah’s twins are also friends with Beyoncé’s daughter Blue Ivy and they often enjoyed dress-up playdates as youngsters. However, Blue’s BFF is Apple Martin, the daughter of actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay singer Chris Martin. The two famous daughters really enjoy hanging out together and E! reported Blue Ivy was a guest at Apple’s sleepover birthday party in 2016, and the girls had a glamorous night planned. And it was good timing for Beyonce who had a concert that night, as even the multi-millionaires like to avail of some free childcare now and again! ■
