IT’S PAUL GOING DOWN IN CARRIGSTOWN
In this week’s trip to Carrigstown, Carol is relieved when Nora finally receives a diagnosis. She blames Ray for Nora’s close call and is annoyed when Rafferty appears to take his side.
Meanwhile, Sharon comforts Ray when he tells her about Carol’s criticism while Sharon warily agrees to meet Rafferty to talk.
Later, Carol and Ray make amends but when she phones Rafferty to thank him for his support, he is preoccupied with Sharon.
But Rafferty panics that Jack knows about Sharon when he learns he was home from school while she was there.
The pair are on tenterhooks trying to decipher just how much Jack knows about their affair.
Meanwhile,dolores informs Rafferty she won’t tell Carol about the affair, for
Sharon’s sake but Rafferty is troubled when Carol asks him to spend a romantic evening with her.
Meanwhile, she tries to ignore her increasing suspicions about Rafferty and Sharon but her worries are confirmed when she catches Sharon in a lie about spending time with Rafferty.
Elsewhere this week, Paul hides his annoyance when Dolores lets slip that Orla has taken Ruth shopping against his wishes.
Later, Orla is shocked when Paul loses his temper in front of Ruth and Junior — and Paul is convinced that Orla is using Ruth to get at him.
Paul strategically drops hints to Dolores about his marital woes and Orla’s poor parenting.
Orla is further irritated when Dolores checks in on her following Paul’s remarks.
And Paul is left reeling when Orla lays out just how miserable his life is. Paul is ashamed when Ruth witnesses his hostility towards Orla — and he tries to buy Ruth’s affection and promises her their family will stay together.
But Orla refuses to keep up the charade despite the pair deciding they should go easy on each other for the sake of the kids.
Finally this week, Jon remains conflicted about leaving and
Alex’s indifferent attitude.
He invites Alex to join him on the world tour, as Mondo calls Jon out on his selfish behaviour and urges him to step up as a father.
Later, Jon and Alex make amends when Jon owns up to his mistakes while Alex and Zoe commit to a relationship together.
Melanie, meanwhile, considers a potential job offer in Dubai.
But first she and Mondo are concerned when Alex introduces Zoe as his girlfriend due to her chequered past.
