Bad Boys For Life, Ch4, 9pm

Will Smith and Martin Lawrence reprise their roles as Detective Lieutenants Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett in the third instalment of the hit action-comedy cop franchise.

We meet the dynamic duo as Marcus starts to think about retiring. The pair are at a party for Marcus’s new grandson when Mike is shot and left in a coma.

His shooter — Armando Aretas (Jacob Scipio) — is the son of the late Benito Aretas.

Benito was a drug cartel kingpin, and married to Isabel (Kate del Castillo), who Armando has just helped escape from prison.

Isabel orders her son to recover a big chunk of money, as well as assassinate those responsible for her husband’s demise. Last on the kill list is Mike.

But Armando messes up the plan by shooting Mike first. When Mike finally emerges from his coma, raring for revenge, Marcus has already retired and can’t be convinced to take up the badge again, causing a rift between the pair.

Mike is reluctantly placed with a high-tech unit tasked with identifying his shooter.

But as the stakes heighten and casualties accumulate, technology just won’t cut it.

Why is Isabel so vengeful towards Mike? To answer that question, the Bad Boys must bury the hatchet and pick up their guns.
