He doesn’t GIVE ADAM!

- By Rachel Beresford

In this week’s Coronation Street, having spent the night together and clearly loved up, Sarah invites Damon to join her family for a drink later. Damon agrees, but asserts that he must pay Harvey a visit first. Later, as Sarah and Damon head out of Redbank, Adam watches, consumed with rage.

Then, Damon visits Harvey in prison and makes it clear that if he pulls any more stunts, he’s dead meat.

But when Harvey makes a threat regarding Sarah, Damon loses his temper. As the guards drag him away, Dee-dee has clocked their exchange from across the room.

Back on the cobbles, Damon joins Sarah and her family in the Bistro and Audrey, Gail and Nick make their disapproval evident.

But when Adam storms over telling Sarah he knows about Damon’s prison visit and doesn’t want him anywhere near Harry,

Adam is cut when he is reminded that Harry isn’t even his son.

Furious, Adam calls the prison and makes an appointment to visit Harvey.

Later, as he visits Harvey in prison, Adam makes out that he’s looked over his files and he’s got a watertight case for an appeal.

But Harvey warns Adam that if he lets him down, the hitman who’s going to deal with Damon will deal with him too.

Back on the cobbles, Damon apologises to Adam for the mix-up over Harry’s tea and Adam assures him it’s forgotten, but his contempt for Damon is evident.

Later, he meets up with Harvey’s sidekick, hands over a wad of cash and instructs him to scare Damon off.

But as the thug pockets the cash and walks away, Adam suffers a panic attack.

Elsewhere this week, at No.5, Joseph complains of a temperature. Gemma’s concerned, but Chesney’s adamant he’s fine.

Later Gemma shares her concerns about Joseph with Paul and pointing out she could jeopardise her situation with social services, advises her to keep quiet. But then in the café, Gemma shares her concerns with Dr Gaddas as a furious Chesney overhears.

At No.5, Gemma, Chesney and Paul lark about with the kids, but the mood is broken by the arrival of Granny Linda.

Linda hands Chesney a business card for a family solicitor but Chesney refuses to discuss it.

But when Joseph gags on his milk, Chesney realises that the fridge is broken and all the food has gone off.

He emerges from No.5 with a sickly looking Joseph and assures Gemma that it’s just an upset tummy as Dr Gaddas listens to their exchange with interest.

Also at No.5, Gemma finds the solicitor’s business card and accuses Chesney of plotting to take her kids off her but Chesney assures her he’d never do that.

And when Linda reveals it was her idea as she doesn’t think she’s safe to be around her own children, Gemma storms out. Later,

Chesney receives a call from school telling him Joseph is poorly. At No.5, Chesney and Linda fuss over Joseph but as he stands his legs give way and he collapses on the sofa, barely conscious.

Panic-stricken, Chesney orders Linda to call an ambulance. The doctor approaches and explains that after talking to Dr Gaddas, they suspect Joseph has Lyme disease which he contracted whilst camping.

Later, Joseph wakes to find Chesney and Gemma at his bedside. An elated Gemma tells Chesney and Joseph that social services have confirmed she can move back home but Chesney’s shocked when Joseph announces he wants to live with Gemma and not him because she’s the only one who believed he was ill.

Finally this week, David is impressed as Max practises his hairdressing skills on Lauren. Max invites Lauren for tea, but when Sabrina suggests she brings her boyfriend along too, Lauren’s smile fades.
