TOUGH WEEK FOR CHAS

-

In this week’s trip to the Dales, Chas receives a call confirming her hospital appointment for that afternoon

And Liam, her only confidante, is thrilled when she asks him to accompany her.

At her appointment, Chas learns she has triple negative cancer. And back home she vents to Liam about her diagnosis.

Although she does her best to be brave, it’s clear she’s struggling — and she makes Liam leave her alone as she fights to retain her composure.

Once he has gone Chas finally allows herself to break down and cry.

The next day, when Paddy drops off Eve, he can see something’s wrong with Chas but she covers.

Later that day, Lydia also realises there is something wrong, and finally Chas opens up to Lydia whilst Liam overhears from the Woolpack corridor.

Although relieved to hear her talking, it’s bittersweet as he realises that he’s no longer her sole confidant.

The next day, Chas scrolls through her phone, looking for information concerning her cancer diagnosis.

Elsewhere, Rhona is moved to see Marlon bonding with Ivy as Rhona confesses about her conversation with Gus and justifies her actions, but Mary advises her to prepare for Ivy’s departure.

Later, Rhona consults solicitor Ethan about gaining custody.

At home, chaos ensues as Mary and Marlon tend to Ivy, and they’re shocked when Gus unexpectedly arrives.

Rhona, returning home to find Gus there, realises she has some explaining to do when Gus reveals they’ve been in communication.

Meanwhile, Moira’s pleased to think Tracy’s put her affair with Caleb behind her. But Tracy and Caleb just can’t keep their hands off each other.

Before long Nate offloads his relationship worries onto Belle that he thinks something might be going on with her and Caleb. And when Tracy utterly misses their romantic lunch rendezvous Nate is suspicious.
