TO ELL’ AND 2 1
LEEDS boss Javi Gracia will consider dropping calamity keeper Illan Meslier for tomorrow’s crunch clash with Leicester.
The Frenchman was at fault for both goals at Craven Cottage on Saturday, with Leeds having conceded 18 goals in five games during April.
The Whites’ general defending was improved at Fulham following home defeats of 5-1 against Crystal Palace and 6-1 to Liverpool.
But the goalkeeper had a day to forget and now ex-Everton and Real Betis man Joel Robles is an option for a potential league debut.
Gracia said: “I have to consider all the options for the best. I know Joel very well from Spain but I have to decide.”
Gracia also explained why Patrick Bamford and Luis Sinisterra were left on the bench at Craven Cottage.
He said: “Bamford and Sinisterra couldn’t train all week because they had some issues in the last game. We couldn’t start with them.
“We have different players for different situations. All the players can start on Tuesday. I know all of their levels. Different options. Difficult decisions. I have to decide.”
Defeats
Leeds’ three straight defeats has seen them drop to 16th, just one point above the drop zone and one point above Leicester making the Elland Road clash a huge six-pointer.
But Harry Wilson enjoyed the perfect Saturday on two fronts.
First the lively forward put in a superb display with a fine goal as Fulham saw off Leeds.
Then he put his feet up to watch his beloved Wrexham return to the Football League with victory over Boreham Wood. Wilson and his family are big fans of the Welsh club and he regularly went to the Racecourse Ground as a kid to cheer them on. Speaking directly after Fulham’s lunchtime victory on Saturday, the Wales international said: “I’m massively interested in Wrexham. I will be getting home, having some food and will be putting that on. “Trying to get a ticket was like gold
