Fulton: Absence of Max a blow

-

ADRIAN FULTON knows there are no gimmes in the InsureMyVan.ie Super League.

Fulton’s Belfast Star — who lead the way in Conference North — host Emporium Cork Basketball at De La Salle College today (6.30pm).

And Star head coach Fulton said: “Every team is dealing with injuries and niggles. In addition to Max Cooper being out, Shon Briggs is struggling after a nasty fall during the second half of the UCD Marian game, and both Aidan Quinn and Max Richardson also sat out practice with knocks.

Tough

“This is the start of a very tough stretch for us. We are hopeful we will be able to be really competitive despite missing Max, but we know we will have to be at our best to beat Ballincollig.”

Conference South pacesetters University of Galway Maree, who jointly lead the Super League with Star, host DBS Éanna at NUIG Kingfisher (7pm) in a repeat of the Pat Duffy Cup final.

And Maree head coach Charlie Crowley said: “This is a difficult game for us.”
