TODAY Kilkenny v Tipperary, Piltown GAA, 3pm TIPPerArY’S fate is in their own hands, regardless of what happens between Cork and Galway. They are up against the All-Ireland champions, who have just a win over Dublin to talk of and with player of the year Miriam

Walsh (knee) injured.

Kilkenny can still, mathematically at least, be relegated. However, for that to happen, they would have to lose heavily in this one and for Dublin to thump Clare.

TOMOrrOW Clare v Dublin,

Cusack Park, 12pm WHeN Clare claimed the scalp of Kilkenny in the opening round, they weren’t considering a relegation battle. But that’s the reality now.

Dublin, who have lost all four outings, need to win by eight points to avoid the drop.

Cork v Galway,

Páirc Uí Chaoimh, 12pm

THe pair could cross swords again in the final, but Galway are defending champions and have bounced back well from losing to Tipp in the opening round.

But as their scoring difference is far inferior, even if they win, they would need to do so by 19 points to overtake the rebels. That would also depend on Tipp winning, too.

DIVISION 1B

TODAY Waterford v Down, SeTU Arena, 12pm THere is nothing at stake but pride as Down cannot force their way into the top two, while Waterford have already secured a place in the Division 1B final by scoring 7-80 in four impressive triumphs.

Limerick v Offaly,

Mick Neville Park, rathkeale, 2.30pm IN CONTrAST, there is a lot riding on this fixture. The loser will be relegated to Division 2A, not a place a team operating in the senior championship wants to be plying its trade in.

After a brilliant draw against Antrim, another draw will do for Offaly, while Limerick, who were All-Ireland quarterfinalists last year, must win.

Antrim v Wexford, roger Casements GAA, 2pm

ANTrIM know what they have to do — beat Wexford to overhaul them for the runner-up spot. A share of spoils, on the other hand, will be enough to see the Yellowbellies progress instead.
