KERRY SET TO TAKE CONTROL AT DONCASTER

-

STORM CONTROL (3.20) is fancied to blow away his rivals in today’s Sky Bet Chase at Doncaster.

Kerry Lee’s nine-yearold bounced back to his best with victory at Newbury 10 days ago under claimer Daire McConville.

The young rider will again take off a 10lb, which could make all the difference.

Storm Control is prone to idling in front but ground conditions look ideal and if he is allowed an easy lead he could be hard to pass, priced at 16-1.

Debece and Cap Du Nord lurk dangerously towards the bottom of the handicap and look to have been laid out for this contest.

At the other end of the weights, Midnight Shadow will be in the thick of it if he stays three miles and 10-1 is a nice each-way price.

MIRANDA (2.10) has everything in her favour and cannot be opposed in the Sky Bet Yorkshire Rose Mares’ Hurdle, while UNANSWERED PRAYERS (2.45) looks divine in a below- par renewal of the Albert Bartlett River Don Novices’ Hurdle.

CHAMP (3.05) looks nailed- on for the Welsh Marches Stallions At Chapel Stud Cleeve Hurdle at Cheltenham.

Paisley Park may struggle on the ground but the conditions could spark a revival from 2020 Stayers’ Hurdle hero Lisnagar Oscar, who looks a silly price at 25-1.

Giant

HILLCREST (3.40) is a giant of a horse and if he handles the quicker ground he should take the Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle, although Balco Coastal is a danger.

COOLE CODY (1.55) excels over this course and distance but looked to have lost his form a little last time.

But he likes a decent surface and it would be no surprise if Adam Wedges can squeeze another victory out of him at Prestbury Park.
