stattler can do the business

- MELISSA JONES

STATTLER (12.42) has the firepower to strike in the Grade Three Naas Racecourse Business Club Novice Chase tomorrow.

The seven-year- old was a smooth winner on chasing debut and could take high rank in the sphere.

Paul Townend was happy to take a tow as his mount defeated a stablemate on that occasion, which gives connections a guide to the form.

Stattler turned around Albert Bartlett running with Vanillier at Punchestown, although the Cheltehham Festival winner had the upper hand at this track in a maiden.

That rival carries a penalty and the selection has performed to his best on better ground — plus he should have a better finishing kick than Run Wild Fred at this trip.

Tactics

Stattler’s stablemate

(1.42) is of interest in the Grade 3 BetVictor Limestone Lad Hurdle. Saint Felicien is the obvious choice but he will be no sort of price with just a sole Irish start to go on.

Whiskey Sour has plenty of experience

WHISKEY SOUR and front-running tactics inspired a good run at Fairyhouse when he was last seen.

Petit Mouchoir is not the force of old, while Darasso gets his favoured ground but has to give weight away. So the Mullins horse is the best candidate to thwart the favourite.

STOKES (3.30) can bowl his Cazoo Search Drive Smile Handicap Hurdle rivals over at Sedgefield.

He made a race of it with a 125-rated rival last time out so is well-placed to win this from 106.

DEERE MARK’s debut form puts him right in the mix in Fontwell’s Cazoo Open NH Flat Race (4.20). He challenged subsequent Listed scorer Henri The Second and now teams up with the tactically astute Charlie Deutsch.
