GO WITH THE FRO FOR GOLD

-

BRYONY Frost can be the toast of Leopardstown today with FRODON (3.15) in the Irish Gold Cup.

The 10-year- old was electric when last on these shores with a superb display to win at Down Royal.

They went very fast in the King George at Kempton and Frodon ended a good bit behind the winner.

But with a more even pace today jockey Frost and trainer Paul Nicholls can take the trophy home.

There’s not much between Kemboy and Asterion Furlong and Minella Indo and it will be interesting to see how Robbie Power gets on with the Cheltenham Gold Cup hero.

My own mount Conflated is a huge price, but I can see him running a big race. He might not win it, but he will outrun his odds considerably.

He’s in good form and I was very impressed with his win at Navan in a tough handicap.

He keeps progressing and I think he can get into the mix.

Delta Work is a previous winner of this race and it just hasn’t happened for him since. Fingers crossed he can put his best foot forward today.

In the opener, HOLLOW GAMES (1.05) can get back to winning ways.

Reverse

He was a bit disappointing last time out and has to reverse the form with Grand Jury, but the extra two furlongs might make the difference.

I have another good chance on FIL DOR (1.35) who has been very exciting this season. He shows very little at home, but does everything asked of him on the racecourse.

Vauban and Icare Allen are two big dangers, while The Tide Turns is no slouch, but hopefully my fella can hold them off.

RIVIERE D’ETEL (2.10) is getting weight off the field in the Arkle and that can make the difference.

She’s going to be 3lbs worse off today than she was at Leopardstown, but I think she will still have enough in reserve.

It’s a hot race, with

Blue Lord Haut En

Couleurs and Saint Sam and should be a great spectacle.

DALLAS DES PICTONS (EW 2.45) will need to improve, but he’s a talented horse.

He’s a decent each- way chance, and another to keep an eye on is FUTURM REGEM (EW 2.45).

MT LEINSTER (3.50) ran well here at Christmas and I think he can score again, while FACILE VEGA (4.25) looks the one in a very hot Bumper.

On to tomorrow and all eyes will be on HONEYSUCKLE (3.00) and I can’t see anything getting the better of her.

She’s a helluva filly, she really is exceptional and a joy to watch.

I have a good chance in the opener on board PARTY CENTRAL (12.45).

Gordon has a strong hand in the race, but Party Central put a blip at Down Royal behind her with an impressive win at Punchestown.

GALOPIN DES CHAMPS ( 1.20) looked fantastic here last time out and the form of that win has worked out reasonably well.

Master McShee and Fury Road have more experience over fences, but I think Galopin Des Champs will be too strong.

Chacun Pour Soi will be all the rage for the big Grade One two mile race, but I think GREANETEEN (1.50) can cause an upset.

I ride Samcro in the Bulmers Handicap, but THE SHUNTER (2.25) is a safer bet.

Three Stripe Life gives me another good opportunity tomorrow, but I think we might have to play second fiddle to SIR GERHARD (3.35).

Finally, BALLYADAM (4.10) and PINK IN THE PARK (4.40) can finish off the card, but also keep an eye on MRS GRIMLEY ( EW 4.40) in that closing Bumper.
