YOU WOn’T BE SARI
Eb’ can flow in his own age group
I have a good chance in the opener at Naas with EBASARI (1.05).
He was very impressive when winning at Cork in a maiden at start of January, but really disappointed at Navan last time out.
We’d be hoping that back in his own age group, racing against other four-year- olds, he will be much more to the fore.
I ride Sam’s Choice for Gordon in the Auction Race and you’d expect a huge run from him, but JOURNEY WITH ME (1.40) will be very hard to beat.
It’s amazing to see how some of these auction races have nearly turned into Cheltenham trials and this is a hot race.
Winner
O’Toole was a good winner at Down Royal and will have his supporters, but Journey With Me is already a very skinny price for the Ballymore at Cheltenham and should win again today.
I do think that Sam’s Choice will run a very big race and push Journey With Me every step, but Henry de
Bromhead’s charge looks a bit special.
I ride Brave Team for Gordon in a big-field maiden hurdle, but I think HARALD HARDRAD (2.15) is the one to side with.
Maiden
He won a Bumper at Clonmel and then ran a nice race when second in a competitive maiden at Navan last time out.
The drop back in trip today should suit him and that can make the difference. Goven will be all the rage in the next over t he same trip, but the big s copey A FORTUNE OUT WEST (2.50) can take the spoils.
He won a pointt o - p o i nt at Punchestown last May and Gordon has opted to send him straight over hurdles.
He’s got a good engine and will be bang there.
Young Charlie O’Dwyer gave UNCLE GERHARD (3.25) a lovely ride when winning at Gowran for his dad Conor and they can share another win today.
Charlie had him out of trouble early on and then moved through the field to join the leader at the last before kicking on to win and he can repeat the trick this afternoon.
ELIMAY (4.00) is back to two miles and back at a track where she has performed well in the past and that should see her back in the winners’ enclosure.
Jamie Codd has a decent chance on Trust Me Nate in the finale, but I think SCHOLES (5.00) can hit the back of the net for Emmet and Patrick Mullins.
Nice
I ride Coach Carter tomorrow at Punchestown and he’s been consistent enough, but TAKE ALL (2.10) could be the one here.
FLOEUR (2.40) lacks experience, but he’s talented and can score tomorrow, while AU FLEURON (3.10) is a nice horse and should be right there in the mix.
Largy Debut will be hard to beat, going right-handed again, but my fella is going the right way and should enjoy the conditions.
