ROSSA CAN BE A FORCA NATURE AT LINGFIELD

- ■■Jason heavey

FORCA TIMAO (2.00) can be a winter warmer for punters at Lingfield today.

Rossa Ryan is reunited with his old bosses at Amo Racing as he gets the leg-up on the four-year-old, who is around the 10-1 mark.

The in-form rider is the only jockey to win on Richard Hannon’s lightly raced son of Kessaar.

That was in June 2022 but there were definite signs of a return to form in November when Forca Timao chased home Storm Catcher.

He raced wide into the straight that day but showed a good turn of foot before flattening out.

Today he drops in trip to a mile in the Bet £10 Get £40 at BETMGM Handicap and his rider will be looking to break smartly from a wide draw to find a decent position behind the leaders.

ITV3 are showing four races from the Surrey track and

(2.35) is tipped to show his opponents a clean pair of hooves in the Build Your Acca With BETUK Handicap.

Formerly a speedy juvenile with Richard Fahey as a youngster (ran in the 2022 Gimcrack), Clearpoint has done well since switching yards to Charlie Fellowes and won at 50-1 at Kempton.

CLEARPOINT Scored

He then scored again at Wolverhampton before finding Clarendon House too good last time.

If Harry Davies can dominate from a good draw in stall five, Clearpoint will be hard to catch.

Mick Appleby had high hopes of success with

LE ROUGE CHINOIS

(3.45, nb) when he moved to his yard last year.

He had useful form in Sweden but is yet to win in this country in five starts despite some good efforts.

His best run was at Southwell last time when Le Rouge Chinois was a close third and today he is stepped up again in trip, which may bring about enough improvement for him to get his head in front.
