The gridiron season reaches its culmination tomorrow night with Las Vegas hosting the Super Bowl between champions Kansas City Chiefs and the pretenders to the crown, the San Francisco 49ers.
It is the California side that is the favourite at 4-5, with the Chiefs rated at 11-10. It probably is that close but it is Kansas City who have the knowhow and that swings it for me.
They also have the key player in their quarterback Patrick
Mahomes, who is far superior to his opposite number Brock Purdy, though the 49ers have a greater number of weapons.
You can get 21-20 for Under 46.5 points overall and I will have a little play on that, though I will have fallen asleep long before the end.
As for the first touchdown scorer, Travis
Kelce of Kansas City came good for us last year, and at 8-1 he can make us some money again.

League action this weekend doesn’t really excite me if

Liverpool having handy-looking home assignments, though Arsenal will have their work cut out for them at West Ham. City play Everton in today’s early game and should have no trouble. The Toffees got a good point against Spurs last week but have probably budget for a blank day.
I will take Pep Guardiola’s side to win by 3-0 (15-2) or 3-1 (11-1).
Spurs are at home to a Brighton side that is very hard to read. With Son Heung-min still absent, I’ll take the Seagulls to come away from London with a win at 3-1. Liverpool host Burnley in a game that kicks off at 3pm. If Vincent Kompany gets something out of this there will be a statue up in Manchester by teatime.
Jurgen Klopp’s side ought to be able to rack up a few goals and Diogo Jota is 6-1 to score two or more.
Nottingham Forest host Newcastle in the evening game today and it is only a few weeks since they won up on Tyneside, but Eddie Howe and his men will be looking for revenge.
Reverse
They seem to have their mojo back and at 23-20 I am going for an away win at the City Ground this evening.
Mikel Arteta (left) and Arsenal will also want to reverse a recent loss when they go to West Ham. The Hammers, though, are not in a false position in seventh and at 17-5 they are good enough to get a draw.
