‘Contact’ between pair as Harry jets to UK for unveiling of Diana statue
BRITAIN’S Princes William and Harry have “been in contact” ahead of an emotional unveiling of a statue of their mother Princess Diana today, as their family hope the celebration of her legacy will bring them together again.
The pair are understood to have “an unspoken agreement” to put their differences aside for the long awaited event, as they prepare to pay tribute to their mum this afternoon at Kensington Palace in London on what would have been her 60th birthday.
Royal sources have confirmed that despite t he sl ight cooling of relations, the relationship between them remains “incredibly strained”.
The brothers have not spoken at length for many months, apart from a brief conversation immediately after the funeral of their grandfather Prince Philip in April.
Their once deep bond was shattered by the decision of Harry and his wife Meghan to unleash a series of “truth” bombs in an interview with US chat queen Oprah Winfrey in March.
The couple, who quit their royal roles last year to chase “financial independence” and set up home in the United States, made the claim that a senior royal had made racist remarks about how “dark” their children would be.

Harry also slammed his father Prince Charles for cutting him off financially — a claim disputed last week by Palace insiders following the publication of official accounts — while further labelling his dad and brother as being “trapped” within “the system”.
The stinging attacks, blasted as
“wholly untrue and completely ludicrous” by senior palace sources, led the Queen to issue an unprecedented statement saying that while she was “saddened” to hear of the couple’s struggles, she insisted: “Some recol lections may vary.”
