GODLY: Rihanna filming the video for We Found Love in field near Belfast and (below) Christian farmer Alan Graham

AN IRISH f farmer who h ordered a topless Rihanna to put on some clothes 10 years ago has defended his actions.

It was a decade ago this week that Christian farmer Alan Graham banned world famous sex symbol Rihanna from running half-naked in his field near Belfast.

Alan (76), who was a councillor at the time for the late Ian Paisley’s strict DUP, caused a sensation by telling her to cover up.

Stunning Rihanna (33) was filming a music video for We Found Love whilst braless under a sheer black top — which the sexy pop star then whipped off.

The music video shoot was abruptly h alted by dad-of-four Alan, who has now defended the shutdown.

The pensioner has no regrets and said: “It wasn’t just a case of being scantily clad.

“It was a case of part of the clothing being missing altogether. Let’s put it that way.”

He added: “I realised that the filming had gone from the front field, which was close to the road, into the back field.

“That’s when things got to a stage that I was uncomfortable with. I asked them to stop the filming at that stage.”

A tree that Rihanna filmed beside during the video shoot for her song We Found Love ( WFL) has become a pilgrimage site for some diehard Rihanna fans.

Alan said: “Lots and lots of people have photographed the tree at different times.

“Somebody suggested I should cut the tree up into little bits and sell the wee bits across the road and make a fortune.

“But I haven’t gone down that road yet.”

Success

Rihanna had worldwide sales of 20 million albums and 60 million singles when she stripped in the Bangor field, near Belfast, in Co Down in September 2011. But Alan admitted: “She was virtually unknown to me. I was illiterate regarding issues to do with pop music.” He added: “I now under stand that Rihanna has officially become a billionaire. I’ll keep farming ‘ til the money runs out.”

Alan has a Christian ethos and urged the showbiz people in his field at the time to “acquaint themselves with a greater God”. Rihanna’s music video shoot was filmed days before her sellout shows at the city’s Odyssey Arena in Belfast and the O2 in Dublin.

Since the topless drama 10 years ago, Barbados beauty Rihanna has become one of the best- selling music artists of all time.

She has sold over 250 million records across the globe.
