No bail for crash accused

A MAN has been charged over a pursuit in which it’s alleged a stolen van collided with Garda armed unit vehicles.

Gardai allege that Matthew Grogan (23) failed to stop as he drove a Toyota Proace van at about 2am on the M1 as gardai gave chase.

It was alleged he later collided with two garda vehicles on the R132 in the drama on Thursday.

Grogan (23), of Bramley Terrace, Swords, Co Dublin, was denied bail at Dublin District Court on Saturday.

He is charged with offences including dangerous driving.

Grogan will appear at Cloverhill District Court next Wednesday.
